Opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy has raised the subject of Kodi Kathi incident for the first time in his ongoing Praja Sankalpa Yatra in Vizianagaram district. Addressing a road show at Parvathipuram, Jagan said that the TDP has plotted to eliminate him just because he was questioning its policies and exposing its misdeeds.
Jagan also raised the issue of demanding CBI investigation into the Kodi Kathi incident. He said that Chandrababu Naidu would go to jail if the CBI takes up probe into the murder attempt case. YCP leaders have been accusing Naidu and TDP leaders of hatching the conspiracy to kill Jagan to eliminate opposition in the state.
It may be recalled the CBI can no longer take up any probe in AP without prior permission from the state government concerned. Naturally, the TDP will not give permission to CBI to probe the Kodi Kathi case since the AP government and AP Police claimed already that Jagan’s own fan resorted to the fake murder attempt only to create sympathy wave.
The Opposition leader has only one hope now as the court can order a CBI investigation in a particular case depending on its merit. Jagan has already sought intervention of the court in this matter.
