Stand up comedian Naveen Polishetty, who appeared in numerous web series, is turning hero with the upcoming detective thriller Agent Sai Srinivas Athreya. Directed by debutant Swaroop RSJ, the film is said to be on the lines of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s iconic comedy caper Chantabbayi. Naveen Polishetty is playing a laid-back detective who hails from Nellore. His quirky mannerisms and hilarious interactions in the teasers and trailers have garnered good response from audience and created decent buzz on the film.
The film is releasing this Friday all over and trade circles are expecting decent openings as the inside reports are quite positive. As detective thrillers are least explored in Tollywood, ASSA is likely to draw attention of all sections of audience. If the film manages to receive good talk, it is going to have good run as there is not much competition at box office due to lack of big-ticket releases.
Shruthi Sharma is paired opposite Naveen and a bunch of new character artists are being introduced with this film. Rahul Yadav Nakka is the producer.
