Actor Pawan Kalyan has been issued summons in the defamation case filed by ‘ABN-Andhra Jyothi’. Hyderabad City Civil Court Judge ordered Pawan to appear before the court on September 24.

What’s the case:

It is known news that actress Sri Reddy abused Pawan with cuss word and later RGV took blame on himself saying it was him who advised her to abuse Pawan’s mother. But not satisfied with this confession, Pawan started a war with media channels. Even though Sri Reddy abused Pawan’s mother and showed middle finger to Pawan, the channels have muted the word and telecast it. But Pawan posted in his twitter the un-muted video of Sri Reddy and alleged these channels have intentionally telecast it to malign him. He also alleged these channels have conducted debates on this and that caused much grief to his mother. However, Andhrajyothy filed defamation case on Pawan accusing Pawan posted morphed video of Sri Reddy. They filed defamation case on Pawan for 10 crores.

What Janasena supporters say:

The case is about Pawan morphing the video. In this case too, forensic lab has to confirm whether the video is morphed or not. In India, there are very less government forensic labs that can do this verification and that is the reason it took 2 years to confirm Chandra Babu voice in vote for note case. So, like many other cases in India, this case also may take several years. Moreover, Pawan has intentionally made these comments through twitter, because, as per the current law – punishing for comments made through social platforms is very difficult. Earlier verdicts of SC also confirmed the same.

What Andhrajyothy supporter say on this case:

ABN-Andhrajyothy supporters say, the channel has never telecast Sri Reddy’s video without muting the word. So, its obvious that Pawan has morphed the video and posted in twitter. Also, Pawan tried to get sympathy and mileage on this issue by repeatedly talking about his mother. Moreover, even though social media posts are not punishable as per earlier SC verdicts, morphing videos is definitely punishable. So, if it is proved that Pawan has morphed this video with an intention to get political mileage court can definitely punish him

Pawan has to attend court on 24th Sep?

As per the court directive, Pawan has to attend court this time. He may attend with help of lawyer. Of course, as the case involves several factual and legal points like – whether video morphed or not, whether social media comments are punishable or not, verdict may take more time.

Finally:

Even though final verdict may take more time, Andhrajyothy can take credit of “dragging Pawan to court” for the comments he made. At the sametime, Pawan may remind people “how slow” the cases on CBN (vote for note for example) are moving and how fast, cases on him are moving and the’political ballgame’ may continue.
