Sakshi and in turn YSR Congress Party has given up on Kurnool MP Butta Renuka who is allegedly joining the ruling Telugu Desam Party along with her followers. In its report Sakshi stated that following her meeting with N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday, the MP reportedly will be joining TDP after the Chief Minister’s completes his foreign tour.
As of last week, Renuka refuted the allegation of switching parties. Questions were always raised on her loyalty as she maintained good relations with TDP despite being a member of opposition party.
Recently she appeared along with Naidu in a roadshow by Kaliash Satyarthi in Kurnool. Renuka has been allegedly promised that TDP will bear the entire cost of the election along with conferring her with MP seat in the next election. She was the only YSRCP leader to attend the National Women’s Parliament in Vijayawada
In the wake of Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Padayatra, the report accused TDP of trying to stifle the walkathon politically.
