As predicted, things aren’t what they seem in AP BJP cadre. The resignation of Kambhampati Hari Babu as AP BJP President is just not technical as claimed by MLA Vishnu Kumar Raju, but in fact, an upshot of internal party disputes.
Though many names were heard for the President Post, close sources confirmed that the fight would be mostly between Somu Veerraju, Akula Satyanarayana, and Kanna Lakshmi Narayana.
In this situation, the fallout between Akula Satyanarayana and Somu Veerraju has further made the life of BJP High Command difficult. Meanwhile, latest reports emerged that, Akula Satyanarayana has expressed his dissatisfaction over Somu Veerraju.
‘Akula Satyanarayana conveyed to his followers that he wouldn’t continue in the party if Somu Veerraju is elected as the AP BJP President. At the same time, Akula Satyanarayana reinstated that he doesn’t have any problem if someone else is elected as the AP BJP President’, said a close source.
Even the Kapu BJP leaders are against Somu Veerraju. ‘Somu Veerraju did not even take part in the Kapu Movement. BJP should be prepared to pay a hefty price because of Somu Veerraju’, few sections in the party expressed.
The bottom line is that the BJP High Command should handle both the internal war between the party, and against the TDP, and Janasena.
