The race for ‘AP BJP President’ has begun. Initially, rumours surfaced that After BJP High Command is not happy with Kambhampati Hari Babu’s defensive approach when it came to lashing out at TDP. Though P Manikyala Rao was approached initially, he rejected the offer subtly. Everyone thought that Somu Veerraju will be the next AP BJP President.
Surprisingly, things took a different turn after K Hari Babu himself resigned to the post. Two names are being heard quite strongly in the political circles. Former Minister Kanna Lakshmi Narayana’s and MLA Akula Satyanarayana’s names are being considered for the AP BJP President Post, confirmed close circles.
Kanna enjoys a good following within the party right from the grassroots level. Given his stint as former minister, he is not only highly experienced but also highly vocal if required.
Few key BJP leaders believe that Kanna has all the abilities to bash out at the TDP MLA’s comments, and put TDP in a fix with this sharp and attacking comments. While other still believe that recent developments do not rule out the odds of Somu Veerraju heading AP BJP.
