AP Govt. denied permission for Khaidi No. 150’ Pre-release

The new year celebrations for Mega Star Chiranjeevi fans turned to be disastrous as the much awaited pre-release function of the 150th film of their Hero `Khaidi No 150’ is postponed after the government authorities refuse to give permission. The district administration has kept them in suspense till this morning on giving permission to have `grand pre-release- event at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation Stadium, scheduled to be held on January 4.

The film is also the 150th film of Chiranjeevi and his son actor Ram Charan Tej is producing the movie on Konidela Production Company banner and the film is slated for release on January 11 for Sankranthi. This film has been creating lot of euphoria as the star actor is acting after the gap of over ten years. The fans, who were already disturbed with the decision of Chiranjeevi not to hold an audio release function, are not found hit by the government.

Chiru fans’ has already makes elaborate arrangements to make the event a grand success. Some of fans, who lost patience due to authorities’ indifferent attitude even staged a protest at Gandhi Nagar, Vijayawada, yesterday accusing that the district administration is deliberately dilly-dallying. Authorities, who were indicating problems like traffic and security till yesterday, today cited the reason that there is a High Court order that the stadium is meant only for sports and games.

Strongly condemning the attitude of the authorities, organisers are suspecting some political interventions behind denial of permission. They felt if the High Court order is the valid reason, why did they delayed to convey the same till today, just few hours ahead of the scheduled programme.

Now film makers have decided to organise the same event on January 7 and in search of several places in and around of Vijayawada and Guntur. The function is likely to be held in Haailand near Chinnakakani or Brahmananda Reddy Stadium in Guntur. According to sources, today they are visiting K L University campus to check if it would be suitable for the mega event.
