Vaastu has been playing a fundamental role in the construction of the Amaravati. Andhra Pradesh Secretariat is witnessing key changes to make it Vaastu Complaint. The layout alterations have commenced based on the recommendations of the pundits who said that four gates was not in accordance with the Vaastu Shastra. They suggested to add another gate at the fourth and fifth blocks. Consequently, the compound wall has been demolished.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu used to enter the secretariat through gate one, but following the instructions from the pundits, he now uses the second gate to go into the building. Already several modifications were made to the ministers’ chambers and different structures. There is widespread criticism at misuse of public money in the name of Vaastu. Despite being led by tech-savvy CM, the TDP administration continues to spend huge amounts from the state exchequer to ward off evil forces.
