Enthused by the people’s opposition to the Prime Minister Modi’s “Delhi Soil and Yamuna water” offering to Andhra Pradesh, AP Congress is organizing “Matti Satyagraham” on November 9, 2015 at Amaravati, against what it called PM’s false promise special category state status . Demanding conferment of special category state (SCS) status on Andhra Pradesh the party has already launched “Matti to PMO” program, in which Congress party workers are dispatching sachems of soil from Andhra Pradesh to 7, Race Course Road, New Delhi. The message is that AP wants special category status as assured by BJP and Mod especially before 2014 election as a compensation to Andhra Pradesh in lieu of bifurcation of the state, not a fist full sacred soil from Parliament premises, says party general secretary Janga Gautham.

Protesting the apathy of centre and failure of state government in forcing the centre to accord special status APCC today called upon the people and Congress workers to participate in a big way in the Matti Satyagraham planned at Amaravati at 10 AM on Monday. APCC president N Raghuvira Reddy and other senior leaders will participate in the program.

” The program will be organized on the same point where PM Modi offered a kalasam containing matti and water to chief minister Chandrababu Naidu on October 22, when the entire state was expecting an announcement on the special status. The matti Satyagraham will conclude on November 29, 2015 at Tirupati at the spot where Modi, as prime minister candidate of BJP addressed a public meeting as part of his campaign in Andhra Pradesh, and assured special category state status to AP before thousands of people,” Gautham told ‘telugu360.com’ on Saturday. Similar Matti Satyagraham programs will be organized in all districts Anantapuramu (Nov 12, 13), Sirkakulam (Nov 17), Vizianagaram(Nov 18), Krishna (Nov 19), Kadapa (Nov. 23), Nellore (24), Prakasam(Nov 25), East Godavari (Nov 27), West Godavari (Nov 28) and Tirupati (Chittoor distrct-Nov 29).
