Telugu movie “Awe”, released early this year, got critical acclaim as well as good reception from audience. Now the movie got another honor. The movie was presented at World Congress of Psychiatry in Mexico.
“Awe” is a psychological thriller film, directed by Prasanth Varma and produced by Nani and Prashanti Tipirneni. Kajal Aggarwal, Nithya Menen, Regina Cassandra, Eesha Rebba, Srinivas Avasarala, Priyadarshi and Murali Sharma acted in the movie. The film deals with psychological disorders like -dissociative identity disorders and also deals with several social problems.
A medical student from USA, who has his origins in India, attended World Congress of Psychiatry in Mexico and presented this movie there. He tweeted to director Prashant Varma and producer Nani regarding this and director retweeted it. The medico tweeted, “Thank you Mr.@NameisNani & Dir.@PrasanthVarma for presenting us AWE! movie. I presented it at the World Psychiatry conference. The poster caught everyone’s attention and they want to see it. Also Thank you to Dr.G.Prasad Rao,Founder of Asha Hospital,for visiting my presentation.” The medico also added, “Such a quirky and out of the box movie, u tackled psychiatry, child abuse and Dissociative Identity disorder”.
