Former cricket captain and former MP Azharuddin condemned the news of him joining TRS through his official Twitter handle.
Since last two days there have been rumours about Azharuddin joining TRS and contesting Lok Sabha elections on TRS ticket in 2019. There have also been rumours that he is planning to contest from Secunderabad Lok Sabha constituency. Earlier, at a party meeting, another aspirant to contest from the same Secunderabad constituency Anjan Yadav literally had fight with Azhar and his group . Telangana PCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy could not control either these leaders or the situation and remain silent spectator. With this backdrop, everybody believed the rumours about Azharuddin joining TRS party.
However, today Azharuddin condemned this news as incorrect and false and tweeted, “The news doing the rounds in the media of me joining the TRS party in Telangana is incorrect & false.” We will have to wait and see whether Azharuddin continues in congress party or he will join TRS at a later point of time.
