2017 started off on a promising note for Tollywood. In the first two months, the success graph is impressive with films like Khaidi No 150, Gauthamiputra Satakarni, Shathamanam Bavathi, Nenu Local and Ghazi making a good show at the box. In the first two weeks of March, a few medium budget films are going to test their luck at the box office.

From April , a bunch of big ticket films are going to offer respite for audience during the sulty summer season. Pawan Kalyan’s Katamarayudu, which is going to hit the screens in the last week of March, will kick start the Summer season. The most eagerly awaited film Baahubali 2 will hit the screens in April end, which will be followed by Allu Arjun’s Duvvada Jagannadham on May 19th( tentative date). Mahesh Babu’s highly anticipated flick with Murugadoss will end the Summer by releasing on June 23rd.

As there is considerable gap between the release dates of all these tent-pole films, there will be good opportunity for them to make the most during the Summer holidays. However, IPL Cricket season will have slight impact on the collections. Nevertheless, audience are in for a bigger treat in the next four months.
