Bigg boss season 2 is continuing with good viewership. After capitalizing on ‘common man versus celebrity theme’ and luxury task with ‘servants vs masters’ theme, Bigg Boss next task was to select captain of the house. In fact it was not big boss but it is the housemates select their captain.
As whoever selected as captain will have some special benefits – like ‘captain can’t be nominated for eviction’, ‘captain having separate bed room’ etc, usually all contestants compete to become captain of the house.
Out of 16 contestants, totally 5 contestants expressed their willingness to become captain – Tanish, Sanjana, Samrat, RJ Ganesh and Bhanu Sri. Based on voting by housemates, 4 out of this 5 made to next level after Tanish did not get sufficient votes. Now these 4 have to participate in
“Sell your product” competition and advertise one product to housemates. Whoever gets maximum coins from housemates will become captain of the house.
RJ Ganesh utilised this opportunity very well and displayed his comic timing. Bhanu sri danced for song that got good applause from male contestants and male audience. Samrat was adequate in his show but he got more votes as most of the housemates wanted him as captain. On the other hand, RJ Ganesh and Sanjana got very less coins from housemates while it was close contest between Samrat and Bhanu Sri , reinforcing once again “Common man vs celebrity” theme in the house.
We will have to wait and see how Samrat’s captaincy will be.
