A character film artist turned politician Telugu Desam MP Dr Siva Prasad is known for attracting attention of the media and others with his novel style of dressing, as a mark of protesting on various issues. However, his protest against centre’s move on demonetization today in Parliament embarrassed the BJP, as TDP is the crucial partner of BJP-led NDA.

Moreover, on this day only the government constituted a chief minister’s panel headed by TDP supremo Chadnrababu Naidu, putting lot of confidence on him. After announcement of the panel, even Naidu also tried to correct his earlier angry remarks against RBI and banks.

When the entire opposition creating ruckus in the Lok Sabha stalling proceedings, the Chittoor MP dressed in half-black and half-white trousers and shirt entered the house, made his way to the front benches as soon as the proceedings begun. Prasad’s custom-made dress sported a combination of stickers of people in distress and black money hoarders.

When opposition MPs began sloganeering, he went over to Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge to explain the reasoning behind his attire. When TMC MP Saugoto Roy asked Siva Prasad to take a stroll around the Treasury benches, he duly obliged. He was seen joining his arms in namaste to senior BJP leader L K Advani and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar.

Later he said outside the house, that when he went round his constituency for a week, he found the public were weeping and people are afraid to say they are against the move, while farmers are “dying”.

Even he went to the extent of accusing that a few people surrounding Prime Minister Narendra Modi were giving him wrong feedback. “They are painting a happy scenario”, he said.

Lamenting that the move was initiated without any preparedness, he said “if I want to produce any movie, everything should be ready. The cast, support staff, hero, heroine and director. Can’t shoot with just a camera. PM Modi did not make proper arrangements.”
