Vanteru Pratap Reddy is contesting on Congress ticket in high-profile Gajwel segment from where TRS chief and CM K Chandrasekhara Rao is seeking re-election. Vanteru is creating sensations in political circles by leading his attack on KCR to grab wide media attention. Sometime ago, he created a ripple saying that TRS Minister Harish Rao was unhappy about his uncle KCR’s style of functioning.
Now, the Congress candidates met the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) and threatened to sacrifice himself in front of Gazwel election returning officer’s office if raids are not conducted on KCR’s farm house. Vanteru’s allegation is that large amounts of money was hidden by KCR in his farm house and this was being used to buy voters in different segments. He accused police of not checking vehicles of TRS leaders at all while many policemen in plain clothes were following him constantly, disturbing his electioneering plans.
Vanteru Pratap Reddy has complained his phone lines are being tapped by the police staff who are loyal to the TRS. He asked the Chief Electoral Officer of Telangana to immediately issue suitable orders to rain KCR’s farm house and seize all the money hidden there. He said he was ready to make any sacrifice for the cause of ousting the corrupt KCR regime and only Congress can protect the interests of Telangana people. There are over 337 acres farm house in Erravalli but KCR has officially shown just 57 acres which should be probed by the election officials immediately, said the Congress candidate.
