CBI court in AP? Countdown begins for Jagan cases

0

The BJP government at the Centre is moving speedily to set up a CBI special court in AP Capital City Amaravati. BJP MP GVL Narasimha Rao has already met Union Law Minister and requested for immediate steps in this regard. GVL’s strategy came as a big shock to the YCP MPs in Delhi political corridors. It is being seen as a bigger setback for AP CM Jaganmohan Reddy. The AP CBI court is likely to speed up the trials in Jagan Reddy’s Rs. 43,000 Cr CBI illegal assets cases. AP Chief Minister is the Accused No 1 and his trusted MP Vijayasai Reddy is Accused No 2 in over 13 corruption cases. For several years now, these cases are not seeing any progress because of Jagan’s diversion tactics and repeated pleas in upper courts.

If CBI court is nearer to Jagan’s Tadepalli residence, then the Centre may ensure that weekly trials may be changed to daily trials. In that case, CM will have to appear before the court on a regular basis. Jagan is able to avoid personal appearance before court so far in his capacity as Chief Minister. Political analysts say that the Modi-Shah duo have clearly begun settling their political scores with Jagan Reddy. Like no other CM in the entire country, Jagan has embarrassed Modi Circar at national and international levels. Against this backdrop, the BJP is even considering to get Jagan bail cancelled.
