CBN to ask Janasena MP candidate SPY Reddy to withdraw nomination

Today Chandra Babu Naidu is visiting Nandyal and as per reports, he is going to meet SPY Reddy, sitting MP of Nandyal. CBN will be requesting SPY Reddy to withdraw the nomination.

It is known news that SPY Reddy won as Nandyal MP from YSRCP in 2014 but he defected into TDP after winning the seat. However, TDP did not give him Nandyal MP ticket in 2019. Sivananda Reddy (newcomer), who has been Nandikotkur TDP in-charge, will be contesting for this seat now. Shocked with the decision of CBN, SPY Reddy decided to quit the party and was about to contest as independent. However, later he met Pawan Kalyan and joined Janasena. He will also be competing with P. Brahmananda Reddy, another industrialist turned politician who is contesting from YSRCP. But now CBN wants SPY Reddy to withdraw the nomination and support TDP candidate as triangular fight may completely change the dynamics of the constituency.

Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan, who gave tickets mostly to the youngsters and rejected many senior leaders who wanted to defect into the party, joined SPY Reddy into the party given his credentials of charity. But if he now falls prey to the strategies of CBN and leaves Janasena, it will be a big jolt to Pawan Kalyan. We will have to wait and see whether SPY Reddy obliges CBN’s request or not.
