Chandrababu takes pot-shots at YSRCP

The recent actions of Chandrababu Naidu do not behoove his stature. It is surprising to see the ruling party stoop new lows to curb the opposition. Either keep a check on your opposition like KCR by attracting them into your party or respond with sarcasm and one liners like Narendra Modi. Restricting the leader of opposition touring the capital, cutting the mic off, avoiding gatherings in Naravari palle reflects the pompous behavior of the ruling party

The Government of Andhra Pradesh imposed restrictions on the tour of YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, in the villages under the control of Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA). Perhaps the Chief Minister will now decide where the leader of opposition can tour. The police insisted on the tour to happen only according to the plan approved by their officials. It is astonishing that YSRCP chief is barred from taking the route that the CM frequently uses for travel. Furthermore, Nara Lokesh said that land values in the capital city area are plummeting to new low after every visit of Jagan to the capital city. If his visits are so jinxed, may be the ruling party should design a tour map for YSRCP in Currency Nagar in Vijayawada or Banjara Hills in Hyderabad.

It is bizarre that Chandrababu while confining the opposition leader’s trips is doing the same by avoiding interactions with people because of YSRCP leaders. A high drama was witnessed at the CM’s native village Naravaripalli. YSRCP MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy camped in TTD Kalyanamandapam with the people waiting for Chandrababu. However, the people waiting since early morning were disappointed when Chandrababu did not turn up. While the reason for cancelling this meet is not yet confirmed but it’s apparent that Chandrababu wanted to avoid Bhaskar Reddy.

The Chief Minister is portraying his insecurity by doing such destructive actions and subsequently showing his administration in bad light. The prejudice of the CM becomes obvious when he permits Pawan Kalyan to speak on issues and even responds with actions immediately. Is it the Kapu reservation issue that is stopping the TDP leader or that Pawan Kalyan is a part of his future alliance? Irony dies a 1000 deaths when this argument is raised.

It is evident that the Chief Minister failed to recall that he was once an opposition leader. Chandrababu should refrain from defaming himself by doing such petty things and stop disgracing his position. It would be better if he concentrates on highlighting the policies of his government and avoid cutting the mic or redrawing tour map of opposition which doesn’t go with his stature as CM.
