Film stars are the favourite targets of the income Tax department. They have lots of money and they usually do not come with political baggage, making them soft targets.
With the upcoming year end deadline for filing of taxes on March 31st, the income tax department is turning it’s focus on the film industry to monitor returns and check for inconsistent transactions. Apart from heroes and heroines, producers and directors are also on the radar.
