Heroine Ileana, who is re-entering into Tollywood through Amar Akbar Antony movie, made sensational comments on Pokiri movie. She told, after listening to the story of the movie, she didn’t expect it to become hit.
She spoke about her gap in Tollywood during her chitchat with media. She told, as she got good offers that have exciting stories in Hindi she moved to bollywood and became busy there. In addition to that, she added, she didn’t get any exciting scripts in Tollywood that time and that is the reason for gap in Tollywood. However, she also told that her story judgment failed several times. She told, some stories that she thought will become super hits have failed utterly and some movies like Pokiri became her career biggest though she thought that story would not work out. She told, after listening to story of Pokiri, she didn’t like it and was about to reject the role. But Mahesh Babu’s sister Manjula persuaded her and convinced her to accept the role and that movie later went on to become industry hit.
Of course, Puri Jagan also told, when the movie released, that, he also did not expect the movie to become such a giant hit. It is known news that Pokiri re-written most of the Tollywood records when it was released.
