AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Monday said that everything is being used to demonise Muslims in India.
“Everything is used to demonise Muslims in India. From our attire to our occupations to our food. It’s not in our ability to fight majoritarian prejudice. Why am I as a Muslim asked to condemn? Have you ever been asked to condemn things happening in the name of Hindutva?” the Hyderabad MP tweeted.
His tweet was in response to senior journalist Rajdeep Sardesai’s comment, suggesting him to condemn Tablighi Jamaat (TJ) for their “civic irresponsibility”.
“TJ is being held to a standard that others aren’t. Everything, from Parliament to Ayodhya’s idol shifting happened. This isn’t whataboutery, it’s majoritarian double standards. When equal opportunities are denied in reality, it’s presumptuous to ask for equal participation,” Owaisi said.
“Questions should be asked of those in power. Not from a Jamat that was behaving as most Indian citizens were behaving at the time,” the MP said.
Why is Mr Owaisi, the London educated, silent on attack against health workers? Is it untrue that the sudden spurt in covid contagion is mostly from jamaat attendees? Why is that some Tablighis refusing medical tests?
It is bcoz, everything is being believed as being fed by the govt n media. This is the time for them to make hay, while the sun is on.
If u want to know the truth, even before people were evacuated from Markaz, a bus load of people were brought with police protection to Markaz, n were told to take those people inside, as they were Muslims, but from other areas, suffering from cold n other problems. They tried their best to send the outsiders in. But we’re curtly told off to keep away. What does this mean, other than sabotage. And another report of TJ patients running amok n nude, must be govt stooges, Bcoz never in our lifetime hv anyone from TJ acts this way. These are all unbelievable stuff, but u guys are far away from it. Truth is something else than what is being shown. Mistake on TJ.s part is, they should hv cancelled the event after section 144. Whatever news v get from the govt is not cent percent true.
It is shame on your part to blame Hindus once again.

Wrong may not be right even when majority community done it.In the name of secularism whether it’s politician or human rights activist should not hesitate to condemn the incident. Now it’s India to be saved, leave all these petty incidents and follow the guidelines suggested by central and state Governments
