Nagarjuna not approached for YSR’s biopic

Since the last couple of days, Telugu media circles are a buzz with the news that a biopic on former AP Chief Minister Y.S Rajasekhar Reddy is in the offing.

True that efforts are being made by filmmaker Mahi V Raghav , who is known for directing sensible movies like Village Lo Vinayakudu and Anando Brahma, has pitched the script to producers Vijay Chilla and Sashi Devireddy who have already registered Yatra as the title. However, they are waiting for YS Jagan’s nod to make an official announcement regarding the biopic.

Meanwhile, gossip mills are rife that Nagarjuna has been approached to play the titular role in this biopic. When contacted close sources to the director about the authenticity, it is learnt that the news is absolutely false.

The source added that the director has lamented on the rumours as Nagarjuna was not at all in his wishlist of actors who are considered to portray the iconic character.
