Tamil director Sundar C announced a big budget periodic drama titled Sangamitra and the pre-production work kick-started early this year. Shruti Haasan has been roped in to play the title role however the actress walked out after a month of special training. After a massive hunt, the makers now managed to finalize the female lead. Bollywood beauty Disha Patani is the new princess and the discussions have been on from some time.
Sundar’s wife Khushbu Sundar made the news official announcing that Disha Patani will reprise the role of Sangamitra in the movie. The regular shoot of the film will start this December and Jayam Ravi, Arya will be seen in the other lead roles. Produced by Sri Thenandal Films, Sangamitra will be shot in multiple languages and will release next year.
