Exclusive – Forensic report confirms Pawan Kalyan tweeted morphed video

• As per the forensic report secured by Telugu360, it is confirmed that Pawan Kalyan tweeted a morphed video
• Experts opine this is a serious legal jeopardy for Pawan, in the criminal case registered against him [ FIR 367/2018 dated 26.04.2018 Banjarahills Police Station]
• If convicted of forgery under Section 469, Pawan might have to face more than 3 years of imprisonment plus fine

Pawan Kalyan, the actor turned politician, has been in the news from the past couple of weeks for his Twitter rants. Pawan Kalyan lamented that Television channels have telecasted a video of Sri Reddy abusing his mother in profane language. On April 21,2018, he tweeted a video file purported to be from TV9, alleging that the channel’s unedited broadcast caused him serious grievance as the abuses were aimed for his mother.

However, TV9 has always maintained that they aired the video bleeping out the abusive word used by Sri Reddy. They also checked the archives of their footage to validate that. Sri Gundelly Rajesh, c/o Telangana union of working Journalists, has even filed a case for forgery for the purpose of cheating. After prima facie evidences, Banjarahills police had registered case on Pawan under sections 469, 504, 506 IPC

Telugu360 got access to the Forensic report comparing these two videos, which are entitled to be valid legal documents and even may stand in US court of Law as evidences. These forensic tests are administered by professional experts using complex tools and report with 100% precision.

Results from Forensic report comparing the original broadcast videos of TV9 with that of the videos tweeted by Pawan Kalyan gave startling results. Verbatim from the report:

• The Twitter video definitely has been edited. It occurs just before the raising of the middle finger by the female speaker

• When the two videos are synced up there is a minor timing discrepancy for unknown reasons

• Could also mean it has been processed with a video editing software allowing for changes to be made and making it appear as a second generation (denigrated) version of the video

• Given that there is an obvious edit in the twitter video, I am suspicious that it could have been altered for nefarious use

• I count seven microphones in the field of view. Anyone of them could have provided the audio which could have inserted the abusive word.

Given the excerpts from the forensic report, it is conclusive that Pawan Kalyan has indeed tweeted a morphed video of TV9 to apparently instigate his fans against the said channel(s). The scientifically done forensic report confirms that the video was allegedly morphed to drive an agenda.

This solicits the question as why Pawan actually tweeted a morphed video that was aired with a bleep on TV9. He tweeted multiple times ‘If I can’t defend the honor of my mother, I better die’. Given that he is emotional, shouldn’t he be doing a basic check if the video is accurate?

Janasena sources we have tried to get a comment weren’t willing to comment on-record. However, they told Telugu360 that this video was provided to Pawan from his Shatagni team and he just tweeted it. ( Article continues below ..)

Pawan’s agony is meaningful and citizens support him given the fact television channels spent hours and days allocating airtime to Kathi Mahesh and Srireddy mudsling on him. However, the video Pawan picked to fight against the channels went wrong because of poor homework done by his team and their intentional morphing. While live broadcast videos are cut as it is and hosted on youtube by TV9, the report does not tell if anything other than bleeped version was telecasted or not.

Now, where does this leave Pawan Kalyan?

Telugu360 has reached out to Satya Narayana Prasad, a senior constitutional advocate based out of Hyderabad. He said even though Pawan might not have morphed the video on his own, but the onus is on him as he tweeted the video from his account.

Police might be obligated to arrest Pawan at least on technical grounds, later release on bail as these sections are non-bailable

If the TV channels and/or Journalist unions seriously pursue this case till logical end, if convicted for forgery under Section 469, Pawan Kalyan might get more than 3 years of imprisonment plus fine. If convicted for more than 2 years of imprisonment, Election commission will be disqualifying him from contesting elections.

• Any person shall not contest in the elections if he is convicted of an offence and sentenced to imprisonment for not less than 2 years, he shall be disqualified from the date of such conviction and for a further period of 6 years since his release [ Article 102 (1) (e)] Representation of the People Act, 1951.

The way out scot-free for Pawan at this point seems to rope in his well-wishers to mediate to get rid of the case. Or as in case of the infamous vote for note, follow the leader to work it out with the rulers.
