BJP leader and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari is known for his straightforward and transparent politics. His recent comments have kicked off a political storm at national level. He said the people will give a thorough beating to all those leaders who try to promise big dreams but do nothing finally. The Congress leaders quickly responded and said Gadkari’s comments were aimed at criticising his own prime minister Narendra Modi.
For a long time, there has been a controversy within the BJP that the Jana Sangh and other organisations are trying to put somebody in place of Modi as next PM if the BJP wins. Nitin Gadkari’s name is also being heard in the list. Amid this, Gadkar’s comments have assumed a lot of political significance. The Congress leaders did not let go of this opportunity and took political advantage out of it.
Meanwhile, BJP MP GVL Narasimha Rao hit back at the Congress and said Gadkari’s comments were actually aimed at reminding the Congress leaders of how they promised ‘Garibi Hatao’ but did nothing to transform the lives of the poor people in the country. Whatever it is, Gadkari has indeed caused embarrassment to Modi with his clever remarks.
