With an American studio announcing it bankrupt, the VFX work of 2.0 has been delayed and the layer by layer 3D work delayed the film’s release further. This pushed the release date of 2.0 several times and Rajinikanth to cheer up his fans managed to announce the release date of Kaala which has been allotted for 2.0 during summer. Now we have an interesting update which says that 2.0 may not hit the screens this year.
Rajinikanth also signed an interesting film in the direction of Karthik Subbaraj which will roll soon. If the news from the exclusive sources are to be believed, Karthik Subbaraj’s political thriller will hit the screens will release earlier than 2.0. The shoot is being planned in packed schedules as per the update and Rajinkanth will start shooting for the film soon. 2.0 may hit the screens during the mid of 2019 as per the update as the post-production work has been delayed.
Shankar requested Rajinikanth to give him a free hand for the prestigious project to get the desired output. Hence Rajini requested Lyca to wait for Shankar to announce the official release date of the film. Lyca Productions bankrolled 2.0 which has been made on a massive budget of Rs 450 crores.
