Hyderabad emerges as winner: David Guetta’s jinxed visit

David Guetta fans from Bengaluru and Mumbai were heartbroken and angry after the police did not give permissions to conduct the event. However, the concert was a grand affair in Hyderabad and the happiness of the audience knew no bounds.

While Bengaluru and Mumbai police have disappointed, the Cyberabad police have extended a warm welcome to the French DJ for the show which was attended by film fraternity apart from the huge crowd at Hitex.

The event was a big hit among the music lovers in Hyderabad who managed to leave Bengaluru red-faced. Although Hyderabad thoroughly enjoyed the event, music lovers lashed out at the last-minute cancellation in Bengaluru and postponement in Mumbai. The concert will be held in Delhi and Mumbai today. People in Mumbai planned to party on Friday night, however the concert is now scheduled for Sunday morning 11.00am.

It comes as surprise that the event got cancelled, especially after the successful performance by English rock band, Coldplay, two months back in Mumbai. Such big gigs getting cancelled due to poor arrangements is not new to India.

Bengaluru authorities said that it was in light of the New Year eve mass molestation, the police hit back that the organizers for not seeking the required permissions early.

The Telangana government has made sure that no such last-minute glitches happen and also deployed SHE teams to protect the women from any inapt situations. Hyderabad’s is the emerging as preferred destination for global business and investments.

Hyderabad has stolen the march on other metropolitan cities as the city welcomed the two-time Grammy award-winning artiste at the Hitex Exhibition Centre. The event was seamless and keeping in view the security, the event ended by 10.00pm on Saturday.

The venues for Mumbai and Delhi are also changed. The original plan of the event being held at Mahalaxmi Racecourse was shifted to Reliance Jio gardens in Mumbai. While originally planned for Noida, the venue is changed to Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
