Premam girl Anupama Parameshwaran is all set to reprise her role in Telugu and the movie is all set for release on October 7th during Dasara. This Chandoo Mondeti’s directorial features Naga Chaitanya, Shruti Haasan, Anupama Parameshwaran, Madonna Sebastian in the lead roles. Anupama Parameshwaran interacted with the media about her latest release Premam. Here is the candid interview of the actress:

What was the difference you found in the original version (Malayalam) and the remake (Telugu version)?

Anupama: I was completely apt for Mary for the Malayalam version as it was completely relatable to my age and the other actors too happened to be of my age group and we had huge fun during the shoot. However here it is the problem with language as I was not much familiar of Telugu. Still we had enough fun and it was like a picnic. I had to put extra efforts for the Telugu version.

Did you love the Malayalam version or the Telugu version?

I loved both the versions and they had their own nativities. The Malayalam version was a bit lengthier when compared to the Telugu one.

How was it working with Naga Chaitanya:

Anupama: I completely enjoyed with him and we had no regrets. He was completely down to earth person and he made me so comfortable even after I had small issues with the language. Today I feel like speaking to one of my close friends. I enjoyed shooting with Chaitu throughout the film.

How is Chaitanya’s acting different from Nivin Pauly’s in the original?

Anupama: I was quite excited to see howw Chaitu will replace Nivin from the original. Before shoot, I saw Chaitu’s getups and he did a great job when compared to the age and his acting skills.

How was it working with director Chandoo Mondeti?

Anupama: Chandoo is never angry and he is calm, relaxed. He handles everything with ease and working with him was simple. He is a natural director.

Is it because of the production house or Naga Chaitanya which made you sign Premam?

Anupama: Frankly saying both. I loved Premam so much and I wanted to be apart of Telugu version. I loved the production house and I had no reasons to reject the offer.

Did you watch the Telugu Premam?

Anupama: I did not watch the complete film yet. Probably I may watch it in one or two days.

The Malayalam version was a classic, however the Telugu version has been criticized widely after the release of the promos and the trailer. How did you handle this?

Anupama: I can’t talk about it but the whole movie unit kept their 100% effort for the film but things will be sorted out after the film’s release.

What is your’s character’s name

Anupama: Suma, I play a Hindu girl.

How comfortable did you feel after being offered a supporting role in A..Aa.

Anupama: After receiving a call from Trivikram, I could not say no and he is the biggest asset of the film. I wanted to sign the film and I signed it on the spot. I even loved doing a character with negative shade and I tried it. I wanted to experiment it and did it.

Do you love experiments and are you going to do different roles in your coming days?

Anupama: Yes I love to be seen in versatile roles and I love to experiment them.

Any changes done for the Telugu remake?

Anupama: Yes, there are some changes done for the Telugu version. The makers have done considering the nativity.

Any memorable moments on the sets?

Anupama: I completely shot for my role in Goa and we thoroughly enjoyed shooting for the role.
Did you fall in love with anyone?

Anupama: I had lot of crushes and we do have.

Chaitu is in love. Do you know about it?

Anupama: Is it. I never asked him about it.

Is it not boring doing the same role again?

Anupama: I shot for Malayalam couple of years back and now for Suma, I had different challenges to face. But I enjoyed doing both the versions.

How is your experience in Tollywood?

Anupama: People accept me well and I so happy for the reception here. People are really respective and lovable. I got new energy to work here for many more Telugu films.

You have enough films lined up in Telugu. Is it true?

Anupama: I have no idea about that, however I have been signing the best scripts that reached me.
Your future projects?

Anupama: I am doing Shathamanam Bhavathi with Sharwanand, one Tamil movie and in Malayalam I signed my second film recently.

Why did you take much time to sign your second Malayalam movie even after a phenomenal success like Premam?

Anupama: I was not interested to jump in a hurry and waited for good films.

Your curly hair was a sensation, did you repeat it in Telugu?

Anupama: Yes, I have the same look in the film.

Are you learning Telugu?

Anupama: I can understand and I am learning Telugu. I dubbed for my roles for A..Aa and Premam. Though it is a bit difficult, learning Telugu is a fun.
