Devi Sri Prasad is one of the most reliable composers in Tollywood. He is known for coming up with chartbuster songs in all his albums and he rarely fails to meet the expectations of music lovers. He is also the most preferred music director by all star directors and heroes in the current generation. However, in recent times, his music has lost sheen as his tunes are turning out to be monotonous and run-of-the-mill.
Last year, DSP delivered a smashing album with Rangasthalam as every song turned out to be a chartbuster. Apart from Rangasthalam, all his other albums in 2018 received only a lukewarm response from audience. His latest two albums Vinaya Vidheya Rama and F2 also failed to make any impact due to the mundane and repetitive tunes. The mediocre albums couldn’t create any buzz on the films.
Meanwhile, top directors like Trivikram, who previously associated with DSP for numerous films, are now opting to work with other in-form composers like SS Thaman. As of now, Mahesh Babu’s Maharshi is the only big ticket film in hand for DSP. He needs to comeback very strongly with Maharshi album to maintain his top slot among composers.
