There are no discussions and no consultations at official level. In just one stroke and over a dinner chat, AP assets worth nearly Rs. 20,000 cr worth are being handed over to Telangana on a golden platter. It’s like KCR asked for a wish and Jagan Reddy granted it. Then there’s Governor who immediately issued a note saying the AP blocks in Secretariat would be taken over by Telangana with mutual consent of the two chief ministers.
In the whole episode, which happened so fast, the basic issue is neglected as to why former CM Chandrababu Naidu objected to this and why he insisted on one-time resolution of all reorganization issues. At the time of reorganization, assets in Hyderabad were distributed between AP and Telangana at 58:42 ratio as per the respective populations. The Secretariat buildings, part of Assembly, Jubilee Hall, Lake View Guest House, etc were all part of this assets distribution.
But KCR has along maintained as if AP is just a tenant in these assets. In his inimitable style, KCR showed excess affection on Jagan ever since YCP victory and he gave no scope for Jagan or AP officials to think. In just a day, Telangana got control over AP assets. Now Jagan media talks about asking for compensation from Telangana which means AP should begin begging saying ‘Sir Please’ before KCR.
