Actor Nani is very confident about his Friday release Jersey, a sports drama which has him playing a middle aged cricketer who strives to realise the dream of playing for the country. The emotional trailers have evoked a strong response and set high expectations for the film. As part of promotions, Nani interacted with Telugu360 and shared his working experience for this film.
Nani bills Jersey as an emotional film which inspires all age groups because the story showcases the fighting spirit of an individual to achieve success. He said Jersey will remain a special film in his career and revealed his strong attachment with Arjun character. ‘It took me a while to come out of Jersey hangover, added Nani. He is all praises for the director and said that he hasn’t watched Malli Raava even after signing Jersey. He said Gautham will be a unique talent in Tollywood and his stories are a class apart.
Nani took special training in cricket for Jersey and said that the story has a lot of emotional appeal which connects with all sections of the audience. He recollected the big hits of Bollywood which are based on sports backdrop like Lagaan and Chak De India.
Talking about his next film Gang Leader with director Vikram Kumar, Nani said the title is very apt for the story. He refuses to take a break despite hectic work and decided to shoot nonstop for Gang Leader. Also, he has once again clarified that he is not going to take part in Big Boss show in future.
