The Film Industry is reeling from a severe shortage of capable directors and as a result, the few good ones available are in terrific demand. One such director is Koratala Shiva and he is enjoying a great phase in his professional career right now.
After scoring back to back hits with ‘Mirchi’ and ‘Srimanthudu’, Koratala Shiva is now busy with ‘Janatha Garage’. But instead of simply taking remuneration for the movie, Koratala decided to become a partner in the production. This entitles him to a share in profits.
The arrangement has worked out handsomely for Koratala Shiva and he is set to make considerably more money that he would have got as remuneration. Going forward, this is going to be Koratala’s business strategy, according to sources close to the director. He will reportedly take a partnership in the production for all of his films from now on.
This is a smart move. If ‘Janatha Garage’ turns out to be a blockbuster as expected, then business for the next few Koratala Shiva projects will be solid and the director will take home a nice fat package.
