Sunil’s Krishnashtami released today to very average reviews and lukewarm word of mouth. But the film took a surprisingly good opening today. Early reports indicate 75-80% occupancy across all areas except Nellore.
This shows that brand Sunil still has decent strength in the market. His true box office stamina will be revealed over the weekend and on Monday. If he manages to sustain the film’s collections on Monday, it will be a major achievement.
Dil Raju is known for blitzing the media with his publicity material and we will have to wait and see if this strategy will work this time.
