Movie Artist Association (MAA) completed its 25th year of formation in 2017. So MAA planned to organize a series of celebrations to make this a memorable event. MAA president Shivaji Raja said that its silver Jubilee celebrations will be held at Dallas with Megastar Chiranjeevi as chief guest.
MAA formed in 1992 with Chiranjeevi as it’s first president. Though TFI has more than 80 years of history, MAA has formed only 25 years back. Reason for this is until early 1990s, Telugu industry was in Chennai and Nadigar Sangam was the association for all south Indian artists and that was formed in 1952 itself. But after TFI moved to Hyderabad, Telugu artistes formed MAA separately. Now this has completed 25 years.
MAA president Shivajira Raja said that all top Stars from Tollywood agreed to take part in these celebrations. Shivaji revealed that Chiranjeevi said he would be ready to come anywhere and will attend the first ceremony in Dallas on April 28 . Mahesh Babu will join the events held in May. MAA also told that they are planning to give pension of 3,000 per person to 35 artists starting this month. MAA also requested all actors and actresses to take membership in the association.
