Superstar Mahesh Babu is busy with an emotional family entertainer titled Maharshi. Vamshi Paidipally is the director and he plays Rishi, a multi-millionaire who owns a software firm in USA. The first half of the film happens on an entertaining note narrating about the college episodes. Soon the film shifts to USA and narrates about how Rishi reaches great heights.
The interval episode is quite crucial for the film and it changes the life of Rishi. It is during this time, Rishi realizes that his close friend is in troubles and returns back to the country. Allari Naresh plays his best friend in the film and the second half is quite emotional and is all about how Rishi turns a helping hand for his best friend. The interval episode even reveals a strong sequence that alters the lives of Mahesh and Allari Naresh in the film and will be a surprise for the audience.
On the whole, Maharshi is all about the story of a millionaire who values friendship. Pooja Hegde is the heroine and Maharshi is slated for April release this year.
