Filmmaker Vikram Kumar, who is awaiting the release of his upcoming sci-fi thriller 24, says that he has to wait for 6 years for this ambitious project to go on floors. Vikram believes in destiny and he is glad to have worked with Suriya. He feels 24 was destined to happen with Suriya.
The Manam director revealed how he previously missed out on working with Suriya and Mahesh Babu .Manam story was initially narrated to Suriya who rejected it for some reason. The film was later made with the Akkineni family actors. For 24, he approached Mahesh Babu and unfortunately he couldn’t convince him with the final draft. He then narrated it to Suriya who was impressed with the idea and also decided to bankroll it on his own.
Vikram is confident about the success of 24 and credits Suriya for shouldering the project. Starring Suriya, Samantha and Nitya Menon in the lead roles, 24 is slated for a grand release this Friday.
