Opposition YSRCP leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy came down heavily on chief minister for Chandrababu Naidu for his inability in getting things done by the centre which are useful to state. He asked Naidu to pull back his ministers from union cabinet when center was not able to do things as small a work as the creation separate Railway Zone for Andrha Pradesh. He addressed the public at Vizag after offering lemon juice to Gudiwada Amarnath, who had been on fast for four days demanding immediate setting up of separate railway zone at Vizag. ” Calling off of the fast by Amarnath, an young man of thirty, is not end of this struggle. The YSRC takes up the matter again at an appropriate time,” he said.

Stating that the setting up of separate Railway Zone at Vizag was the assurance given by the centre itself, Jagan said and added that if the Zone was set up at Vizag, Andhra Pradesh youth would get number of jobs in Railways which are now denied because the zone is located in Bhubaneswar.

“If the zone is set up, 16 heads of the departments will operate from Vizag. All proposals for new lines, extension of lines, new trains will go to the headquarters from zonal office. Zones require huge workforce. Creation of Railway zone automatically spur development and economy of the state. But, still, our rulers are not responsive to the people’s demand,” Jagan said taking a dig at chief minister Naidu.

It was about two years since Chandrababu Naidu assumed office, but he could not get anything done in the case important assurances, which would benefit the entire state, such as special status to Andhra Pradesh, Polavaram project, Railway Zone etc., Jagan said.

” What is the use of having two ministers in union cabinet? What is the fun of continuing in the NDA led by BJP. Chief Minister Naidu is more interested in engineering defection rather than in the welfare of the people. A day will soon arrive when people chase him throwing stones,” Jagan said. The YSRCP president thanked Left parties, BSP, Lok Satta, AAP and student organizations for extending support to Amarnath’s fast. He said having caught up in despicable act like cash for vote CM Naidu lost face in New Delhi to demand anything with force and called upon the people to be ready to wage bigger struggles to get all pending issues implemented by the centre as the TDP government had been proven a useless leadership.
