Amaravati Capital City is the brainchild of former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. It was to remove Naidu memory that CM Jaganmohan Reddy has started demolishing Amaravati. Now, the Modi government has brought changes in India map by recognising Amaravati as the Capital City of Andhra Pradesh.
Amaravati creator Chandrababu responded to the map rectification and he thanked PM Modi for his government gesture towards the Capital City recognition. Interestingly, some of the BJP AP leaders are against Amaravati. Ex Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao even described Amaravati as a city of delusion. The BJP senior leader GVL Narasimha Rao initially supported Jagan Reddy’s anti-Amaravati stand.
All of a sudden, the BJP stand changed dramatically. The recognition of Amaravati surely came as a big boost for Chandrababu Naidu.
