Political circles are full of rumours that the Modi-Shah duo are fastly softening their stand on TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu. The immediate reason is the increasingly unmanageable and adamant attitude of AP CM Jaganmohan Reddy. Naidu’s former associates Sujana Chowdary and CM Ramesh are now influential MPs in the BJP AP unit. These MPs have already created positive mood in Modi-Shah team towards Chandrababu.
Analysts say that the BJP is still unable to catch the full public pulse of Andhra voters. The party leaders feel that the BJP may not be able to single-handedly counter massive dalit Christian and Reddy votebank of Jaganmohan Reddy. To unseat YCP, the BJP will have to certainly depend on Chandrababu. To what extent, it is too early to say.
Considering existing political situation, the Modi Regime has almost changed its approach towards Andhra and stopped its support to Jagan Circar overnight. Naidu never opposed BJP on development projects. This is why Modi Circar is strongly defending Naidu earlier decisions on Polavaram project. Now, Jagan can neither go forward nor step backwards on Polavaram which is considered the beginning of the end of YCP politically.
