Akkineni Akhil heaved a sigh of relief with the positive reception of his latest film Hello. The young actor’s neat act in the romantic drama has been receiving huge applause from all quarters. The only worrying sign for Akhil is the limited box office performance of Hello. Akkineni fans are desperately waiting for a star director to handle Akhil’s next project. However, there is no official confirmation regarding who will direct Akhil’s third film.
Though there were speculations that Koratala Siva and Sukumar are the forerunners to direct Akhil’s next, it is now learnt that crazy Tamil director Atlee is in talks to team up with the Akkineni lad. Reportedly, a popular producer is looking to bring this combo next year and Akhil is also interested to work with the Mersal and Raja Rani director.
Some time back, it was rumoured that Atlee might join hands with Prabhas for a bilingual. But, nothing official was heard of this combination till now. Also, Prabhas is busy till 2019 with Saaho.
So, it remains to be seen whether it will be a top Telugu filmmaker or the young Atlee who is going to collaborate with Akhil next. Let’s wait and see.
