Oopiri is an upcoming bilingual drama starring Nagarjuna and Karthi in the lead. The film, an official remake of French film The Intouchables, is directed by Vamshi Paidipalli and produced by Prasad V Potluri. Having completed its censor formalities, the film is set for a grand release in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously on March 25th.
The universal appeal in the genre of the film has prompted its makers to release it in other territories. Fox Star India bagged the distribution rights and will be releasing both the Telugu and Tamil versions in North India, Karnataka and Kerala. The film will have a grand release in both the Telugu speaking states.
The film is carrying good reports from the censor board and the team is confident that the emotional content will strike the right chord with the audience. Tamannaah is the female lead in the film. Gopi Sunder composed the soundtrack.
