AP CM Chandrababu Naidu has expressed concern over the prevailing political climate in the country, saying that political conspiracies are becoming more difficult to overcome than natural calamities.

He made these remarks during a tele-conference he held with senior officials from Amaravati capital city here today. His remarks were significant in the context of allegations against Modi government at the Centre giving a raw deal to AP in funds allocations and assistance to backward districts.

Without naming any particular party, AP CM said that the state could be able to recover from cyclones like Titli and Hudhud whenever they ravage coastal areas but it could not effectively counter political discrimination.

Naidu said that it would not be politically correct on the party of anybody to give wrong treatment to any State along narrow-minded lines. “While we are asking for protection of our people’s rights, they are conducting IT raids and they are using threats. This is not good in a democracy,” he added.

The rivalry between TDP and BJP is reaching higher peaks with each passing day amid fears of Modi government at Centre likely to cause greater damage to AP along economic lines.

As an analyst says, BJP has nothing to lose even if it decides to antagonise and hurt the entire population in AP. The party could not strengthen its base to meet expectations of Modi and Amit Shah despite its best efforts in the past four years.

If BJP has grown by itself all these years in AP, why should it be forced to accept Kanna Lakshminarayana’s terms and eventually make him party state president? Experts say that BJP will continue to embarrass AP as long as it remains weak at the grassroots.
