Actor Naga Chaitanya has been promoting his film Premam day in and day out for a while now. Every press meet he goes to, as expected, he is being asked about his relationship with actress Samantha. No wonder then that every leading newspaper in the city had headlines about the actor’s impending marriage to the Manam actress!
A look at The Hans India, The Indian Express, The Deccan Chronicle and the Vizag edition of The Times of India has made that evident. ‘I will marry only after Akhil ties the knot’ read a paper. ‘Full and final disclosure of Chai-Sam love story’ read another. Well, that’s just a sample for you because the confession of their relationship brought out the creativity of the head honchos of several media houses who had a party, literally!
Let us look at what happened. For months now, speculation surrounding the couples’ relationship has been on. From a possible date of marriage to the alleged conversion of Samantha to Hinduism (which Chai later denied), they’ve have literally been the talk of the town. And the promotions of Premam became an opportunity for all the people hungry to hear it straight from the horse’s mouth. Everyone from Samantha to Nagarjuna have given us subtle hints about their future but Chaitanya hasn’t said a word! And now that he is bound to be out to promote their film, all everyone talks about or asks about is Samantha.
We know Samantha and Chai are click baits when written about but don’t you think it’s becoming a bit too much? Let an actor talk about his film, huh? It’s not something unfair we are asking, are we?
Of course it is a good promotion for the film at this juncture but no one is really talking about the film per se, and it’s kind of sad for the people involved in the film because the hard work that went into it needs to be talked about more than anything else!
