2.0 updates, Rajinikanth 2.0
The Rajinikanth – Shankar’s highly anticipated sci-fi film 2.0 is getting ready for a grand release early next year. The shooting formalities are on the verge of completion.
Interestingly, Shankar approached Bollywood star hero Aamir Khan for the lead role in 2.0 after Rajinikanth felt that he couldn’t do complete justice to the sequel due to some age related problems. Aamir khan himself revealed that Rajinikanth has suggested his name to Shankar. Aamir added that Rajinikanth personally called over phone and requested him to act the film.
However, the Dangal actor said that he didn’t sign the film as he felt that only Rajinikanth could take the script to the next level with his stardom and no one else could fit into that character. Aamir Khan is confident that 2.0 will be a huge hit at the box office.
2.0 features Bollywood star Akshay Kumar as the prime antagonist and British model Amy Jackson as the heroine. The film is a follow up to the 2010 blockbuster Robot.
