Mega Powerstar Ram Charan’s latest outing Rangasthalam has been doing exceptional business across all the released territories. This Sukumar directorial is expected to end up as the second biggest grosser of Telugu cinema after Baahubali franchise. Rangasthalam raked decent money across the circles of Tamil Nadu during the first weekend and is having a decent run in the neighboring state. However with the ongoing strike in the state, the Tamil Film Producers Council requested Telugu Film Producers Council to stop screening Telugu films in Tamil Nadu and extend their support.

The Telugu Film Producers Council decided to support them and no Telugu films will be screened in Tamil Nadu from Sunday. Rangasthalam will get a break in Tamil Nadu with this step. The Tamil Nadu Producers Council flagged their protest against the hike in virtual print fee and the online ticketing charges. TFPC clarified that the strike will be called off only after their demands are met.
