Swamy Swaroopananda of Vizag Sarada Peetham raised a political storm with his casteist comments against CM Chandrababu Naidu. He is one of the spiritual advisers for Telangana CM Chandrasekhara Rao who has been using all his influence to crush TDP by promoting Jagan. TDP spokesperson Sadineni Yamini reacted sharply and advised the Swamiji to join YCP instead of making needless political comments against Naidu.
She took strong objection to the Swamiji misusing his position as a Peethadhipati and a spiritual leader to speak politics to benefit a particular party. The Swamiji should stop delivering religious discourses and start doing full-time politics. Swaroopananda’s comments sparked angry reactions from different sections. Questions were raised why the Swamiji did not make any comments why a separate corporation was not formed for Brahmin welfare during YSR regime.
For a long time now, several prominent personalities are raising voice against Naidu for putting Brahmin leaders in TDP in charge of their corporation. In his comment, Swaroopananda accused TDP government of not friendly to Brahmin community and that it was following caste bias in different ways. The Swamiji’s close association with KCR has led to rumours that his comments are deliberately made to upset TDP.
The less said the better about Swamijis and Godmen. Spirituality is only a cloak for them. Most of them are after money, power and pelf.
