Almost all political parties in Andhra Pradesh have already started their agitations for Special category status. Today all major parties of AP are involved in some sort of on agitation.
While ruling TDP party started bicycle rally early in the morning today to express their disappointment on central government for not granting special category status to Andhra Pradesh, Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan gave a call to is fans and party workers to join the foot march on national highways that his party is participating today along with communist parties. At the same time YSR CP party also announced that their MPs will be resigning to the posts and starting the hunger strike in Delhi.
Though, it is to be appreciated as all the parties are fighting in their own way to achieve special category status to Andhra Pradesh, it is also to be noted that no party is appreciating the fight of other party. Sakshi paper ran a story questioning Pawan kalyan’s intention of choosing the same date April 6th for his foot march as YSRCP has long back announced that their MPs will go on hunger strike on this day. At the same time TDP questioned the commitment of YSR CP on the fight accusing them of colluding with BJP. Also communist parties criticizing TDP for joining the SCS fight very late after 4 years.
Probably the biggest strength of BJP party is non-unity of Andhra Pradesh political parties for the cause.
