Kathi Mahesh landed into another controversy after he made demeaning comments on Hindu gods in a TV channel debate.
While debating in a TV channel, Kathi Mahesh made a statements – “Accroding to me Ramayana is fictional story and Rama is an idiot. I believe, Sita would have got justice if she had stayed with Ravana”. After listening to these comments of Kathi Mahesh, several unions in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh complained to the police on Kathi Mahesh for abusing Hindu gods .
Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajarangadal, Hindu Sangathan, Hindu Janashakthi, Bhagyanagar Brahmin youth, Hindu Vahini and several organizations complained on Police at various locations. On the complaint of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, the case was registered under IPC 295 and 505 in Banjara Hills police station. Shivasakthi organization complained in Tenali police.
Cases have also been registered at various other police stations in Telugu states.
