Sensational director Shankar who directed several South Indian blockbusters was always keen on directing a Bollywood actor in a pan Indian film. Though he was in talks with Shah Rukh Khan for Robo initially, it did not materialize. Shankar even approached Aamir Khan to play the lead antagonist in 2.0 but the actor rejected the offer. The latest update we hear is that Shankar and Shah Rukh Khan are in talks for an underwater sci-fi thriller which may roll next year.
Though the role was initially offered to Hrithik Roshan, the actor is occupied with other commitments after which Shankar approached Shah Rukh Khan. SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainments along with a top production house will produce this big-budget project. SRK is yet to give his nod for the project. Shankar in this meanwhile is busy with Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 and the next schedule of the film will start this month.
