Sensational director Shankar is all set with his next film 2.0, a sequel for his super hit film Robo that released in 2010. The film features Rajinikanth, Amy Jackson and Akshay Kumar in the lead roles. During his Mumbai promotions of the film, the top director hinted about 3.0, a sequel for 2.0. “I will definitely make 3.0 but the film will not happen without Rajinikanth. I cannot expect anyone other than Rajini in the role of Chitti” said Shankar.
“It is not about taking the franchise further, 3.0 will happen when I get the right thought and convincing script. I wish to entertain the audience through Chitti which is loved by all the sections of audience. Like Superman, Batman and Spiderman, I wanted the franchise of Robo in the country” said Shankar. Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, 2.0 is made on a budget of Rs 600 crores. The film is hitting the screens on November 29th across the globe in 3D.
